March Madness 2013 Predictions Final Four

Now that the NCAA 2013 Tournament is set here is our March Madness prediction for the Final Four

Midwest Region: Michigan State comes out of the Midwest after beating Duke in a game they dictate Big Ten tempo and rebound better and then they get to avoid #1 seed Louisville as they will be out by the Elite Eight.

West Region: Ohio State goes small again against Wisconsin and beats them for the third time this season to win the West Region.

South Region: Kansas despite upset ghosts of March Madness past is a freight train that can't be stopped as they win the South Region defeating whoever they face along the way.

East Region: A relieved Indiana team sees no Big Ten teams in sight and despite the coaches questionable coaching ability the offense rolls all day long.

That is right we just went with three Big Ten teams in the March Madness 2013 Final Four, and this was based on the matchups. The Big Ten was the best in the regular season and they are battle tested and poised for March Madness.

We like Ohio State over Michigan State in the semi finals and Indiana over Kansas.

In the final we are going with Indiana over Ohio State as Indiana has enough offense to get it done against non defensive greatness.

March Madness 2013 Upset Picks

You need March Madness 2013 Upset Picks and we have ours for you now that the NCAA Tournament 2013 bracket has been announced.

Midwest Region:
Take #12 Oregon over #5 Oklahoma State - Oregon is a team that had some success late in the year in a reinvigorated PAC 12 conference. Oregon has had some real duds on offense, however they get it going for this one.

West Region:

Take #13 Boise State against #4 Kansas State if you are a real risk taker, Boise State has played a wide mix of tough teams this season, they shoot pretty well and will not be afraid of the Wildcats. Boise State has to play the opening round game just to go at KSU but we like this for a #4 vs #13 matchup.

Take #10 Iowa State all day over #7 Notre Dame - you need to take this one all day long as Iowa State can get it in the hoop with the best of them and Notre Dame can go into a real funk. Plus neither of these teams is doing anything in the next round vs Ohio State.

South Region

Take #13 South Dakota State over #4 Michigan if you are a true risk taker as Michigan is inconsistent and there is the possibility that the sons of greatness forget they still need to play the game even if it is against Jackrabbits.

Take #11 Minnesota vs #6 UCLA as Tubby Smith gets the team fired up to save his job. Minnesota has the talent to be a #4 seed, they can get this done if they come in with the right mojo.

East Region

In the East Region we recommend you take chalk for a while however if you need an upset go #10 Colorado over #7 Illinois at your own risk.

March Madness 2013 Teams by State

We love lists and one of our favorite lists is the March Madness 2013 Teams by State because it gives us an idea of where the quality basketball is being played. One of the interesting things in 2013 is which states were left without a team such as Texas, and which states had more teams than usual Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Dakota, and Montana. The states with the most teams in March Madness 2013 are California and Pennsylvania which is fairly typical. The states which appear to have the best chance to be represented well in March Madness 2013 are Michigan, Kansas, Indiana, and Wisconsin

March Madness 2013 Prediction Wisconsin

The March Madness 2013 Prediction for the Wisconsin Badgers is going to be very different than the one most had for them in December this season. The Badgers were left for dead when the predictions came out before the season picked to finish 8th or worse in the Big Ten based on little returning in talent and the loss of the starting point guard before a game had been played. The Badgers up through December played like a team with very limited talent that had coaching that could coax them to a few wins. After December though a funny thing happened and that is the talent started to show itself on the floor and the Badgers are now a Dark Horse in the Big Dance.

The Wisconsin Badgers have beaten Indiana this season twice decisively, Michigan, and Ohio State when the big game is at hand they have played. In fact at one point the Badgers looked like they might wrap up the regular season title but had stunning let downs versus the likes of Minnesota and Purdue. The Badgers this year are a very tough team to predict, they have very top notch defense taking each and every team they face out of their comfort zone. The thought was that defense was all this team has, however when they move the ball on offense their offense is very good with multiple scoring threats. On a number of occasions this season the Badgers have four players score in double digits due to their balanced talented attack.

It seems this team has really benefited from the offensive improvement of all players because they didn't have a go to guy to rely on when the season started. In any given game the Badgers can rely on Evans, Jackson, Brust, Decker, or Bergrenn to lead them to a win and not a lot of teams have that. The oddity about this Badgers team is how poor they shoot free throws with Evans now reduced to even jump shooting them for better odds they at least touch the rim.

Our March Madness Prediction for the Badgers is that they get to the Elite Eight, however there the free throw shooting and lack of an always on offense brings them back to reality.

March Madness 2013 Prediction Illinois

The March Madness 2013 Prediction for Illinois is a mixed bag of sorts. Illinois did manage to win 22 games so far this season and their program has made remarkable progress in the span of a few years, however they aren't there yet. The Fighting Illini seemed to have problems against the best of the Big Ten this year on a consistent basis with losses to Indiana, Wisconsin, and Michigan that left little doubt to who the better team was.

Our March Madness 2013 Prediction for Illinois might surprise you however as we say they will get into the Sweet Sixteen by beating the teams they are supposed to beat. This Sweet Sixteen run will be a big momentum push for the program heading into next season.

March Madness 2013 Prediction Minnesota

Our March Madness 2013 for Minnesota is a very difficult choice in deed. Minnesota is a team that has talent to match the best of the best in the Big Ten this season, however they are wildly out of control much of the time and unfortunately extremely poorly coached by Tubby Smith. The Gophers have talent but not the type of talent where they can just put on the sneakers walk in the gym and win the game. Our real March Madness 2013 prediction should be on if Tubby Smith will be fired before April, however our team prediction is that they lose handedly in the first round as they are not a team that deserve to be in the dance on talent alone.

March Madness 2013 Prediction Michigan State

The March Madness 2013 Prediction for Michigan State may surprise you or it may not depending how much you follow the Spartans. This doesn't seem like the most talented squad to lace them up for coach Tom Izzo, however the results have been remarkably consistent with the talent if not beyond it. Tom Izzo is a top flight coach who gets the most out of his teams and it shows the most when March rolls around. Sure MSU had a close loss in the B10 tournament to Ohio State but this team will be ready to play every game they are in.

Our March Madness 2013 prediction for Michigan State is an Elite Eight chance for a 50/50 chance to make it to the Final Four. The Spartans while in the Big Dance are a diverse enough team to game plan effectively against their opponent and that will take them a long ways this spring.

March Madness 2013 Prediction Michigan

How do you give an accurate March Madness 2013 prediction for Michigan a team with a ton of talent that finished fifth in the Big Ten and lost early in the Big Ten Tournament. With a cast full of sons of past Big Ten greatness the prevailing thought was this was Michigan's year, but at this point the results are speaking for themselves. It is hard to imagine how the national media has given this team as high of a ranking that it is almost equal to their place of finish in the Big Ten. With Hardaway, Robinson, and Burke this team has a lot of fire power and if they get hot in a weekend watch out, however they don't have the consistency to get very far.

Our March Madness 2013 prediction for Michigan is that they will get to the Sweet Sixteen, however there the nets will fail to burn and they will be out of the Big Dance.

March Madness 2013 Prediction Ohio State

The March Madness 2013 prediction for Ohio State is one that we didn't see coming just a few months ago. As of late the Buckeyes have legitimately seemed to round themselves into form and are peaking at the right time. Ohio State is a team with some nice guard play, and veteran leadership at the position. We think this is always a huge plus when you are playing in March and the supporting cast is just good enough to take you a long ways. The Buckeyes have had a nice run late in the season and knocked off MSU in a close B10 tournament game, we expect things to continue on the up and up.

Our March Madness 2013 prediction for Ohio State is Thad Matta gets his team into the Sweet Sixteen. Can the Buckeyes get past the Sweet Sixteen sure, however we don't feel they have enough variety in contributors to predict a further run.

March Madness 2013 Prediction Indiana

The 2013 March Madness prediction for the Indiana Hoosiers might be the toughest of all to make. Indiana has had a fantastic year winning outright the Big Ten title despite the overall toughness of the league this season, this feat should secure them a one seed in the dance. Indiana is a team with considerable talent, which is balanced between an inside play maker in Cody Zeller and a strong outside game. What Indiana doesn't have going for it is the top coaching talent that normally helps to take your team to a Final Four.

Unfortunately for Indiana Tom Creen is a second rate game coach and that will always show through against other talented teams with better coaching. Indiana fell twice to Wisconsin this season, once at home and once in the Big Ten Tournament. Neither of the losses to the Badgers appeared to be a fluke as in both they got beat fairly handedly. The Badgers of course have a top notch defense, however their consistent ability to expose Indiana's defensive short comings was the difference.

Our Indiana March Madness 2013 prediction is that Indiana loses in the Round of 32 to a team with more desire, and better coaching. It will be OK in Big Ten land as other conference teams will play on.
