Bubble Watch - Ohio State will be on edge Sunday!

2:30 PM ET, March 14, 2008, Conseco Fieldhouse, Indianapolis, IN
Ohio State with a chance to play there way off the bubble and into the NCAA Tournament failed to capitalize, losing to # 19 Michigan State 67 to 60 in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tournament. Michigan State and Ohio State played in the last game of the regular season with Ohio State winning that game 61 to 55. The loss today means that Ohio State will join a long list of bubble teams who have failed to win games the last two days that would have made there Sunday much less nerve racking. Florida last years tournament champion will almost certainly be playing this post-season for a NIT crown with yesterdays loss, will Ohio State last years runner-up be playing in the NIT? We think that Ohio State will still get into the NCAA Tournament as they were much closer to being a lock when conference tournament play begain, and as mentioned earlier most bubble teams have lost this week.
Michigan State senior guard Drew Nietzal's scored 28 points in the win going 6 of 12 from beyond the arc. Freshman guard Kalin Lucas added 8 points but only shot 4-13 in the game.
Ohio State freshman center Kosta Koufos scored 17 points in the loss. Guard David Lighty added 12 points on 5-14 shooting.
Vote in our fan poll for if you think Ohio State will play during March Madness.
