11:00 PM ET, March 6, 2008,Pauley Pavilion, Los Angeles, CA
UCLA needed overtime to defeat Stanford 77 to 67 Thursday night at Pauley Pavilion. With the win UCLA clinched the PAC 10 Regular Season Conference Title. Player of the Year nominee in our poll and for the Wooden Award Kevin Love continued his consistency with his 19th double double of the year scoring 17 points to go along with 10 rebounds. The Lopez twins once again led Stanford in the loss.
UCLA has now one three consecutive PAC 10 Titles for the first time since the 1995, '96 and '97 streak. There 27 regular season wins are also a UCLA record. You have to think that UCLA probably has a number 1 seed in the tournament locked up, the only thing in the way now is a loss in there first game of the conference tournament.
Stanford will look to get back on track in the PAC 10 Conference Tournament in hopes of improving there seeding to a three seed.
