Bubble Watch - Georgia wins double header, no not baseball!

Georgia, (13-16) won for the second time of the day defeating Mississippi State in the semifinals of the SEC tournament 64 to 60. Senior guard Sundiata Gaines led the Bulldogs in scoring with 20 points. Georgia was the worst team during the regular season at 4-12 and now has a chance to be the best in the conference tournament if they can defeat Arkansas in the championship game on Sunday. If Georgia wins that game they will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament and take an at large bid away from a team on the bubble. It is believed Georgia is the first Division I college basketball team in more than a half-century to play two games in one day. On March 1, 1952, Kentucky beat Tennessee 81-66 and LSU 44-43 to win the SEC tournament in Louisville, Ky.
