Golden Eagle March Madness Flight Cut Short - Pittsburgh defeats Oral Roberts - South Region

The number 4 seed in the South Region Pittsburgh stays hot and defeats number 13 seeded Oral Roberts 82 to 63 in there Round of 64 game in the NCAA Tournament. Pittsburgh has now won six straight games including the Big East Championship Game against Georgetown. Junior guard Levance Fields led Pittsburgh with 22 points in the win. Pittsburgh is looking to continue there hot play and make it past the sweet sixteen an accomplishment that has not happened during there most recent run of seven straight years of making the NCAA Tournament.

Oral Roberts got into March Madness by winning the Summit Conference Tournament. The school motto is Expect a Miracle but there were no miracles in the game only reality. The reality is that Oral Roberts could not play with the bigger players Pittsburgh had in the paint, which included 265 pound freshman forward DeJuan Blair who limited the Golden Eagles chances in the paint, picked up 10 rebounds and scored 8 points.

# 4 seed Pittsburgh (26-9) will move on to the Round of 32 in the South Region of the NCAA Tournament playing # 5 seed Michigan State (25-8) on Saturday. # 5 seeded Michigan State defeated # 12 Temple on Thursday 72-61 despite senior guard Drew Neitzel scoring only 5 points on cold shooting.
