UCLA sets records in destroying Mississippi Valley State - West Region

The number 1 seed in the West Region UCLA had no problems at all with the # 16 seed Mississippi Valley state in there first round game of the NCAA Tournament defeating them 70-29. The 29 points by Missisippi Valley State is the lowest in a first round game of the NCAA Tournament, and there 19.7% shooting is also a first round record. Freshman and PAC 10 Player of the Year Kevin Love led UCLA with 20 points and had this to say about the win "No mercy out there,""We didn't feel too bad for them.".

Number 1 seeded UCLA (31-3) is looking to play in the Final Four for the third straight year. UCLA will play the # 9 seed Texas A and M (24-10) in the second round of the West Region on Saturday. Texas A and M upsed # 8 BYU in there first round game 67 to 62.
