Jim Calhoun to Coach in Second Round of NCAA Tournament

Jim Calhoun will coach in the Huskies second round NCAA Tournament game against Texas A & M after missing their first round destruction of Chattanooga. Calhoun had expected to coach the first round game despite not feeling well the last couple of days. After consulting with the team doctor around 11:00 about his state it was decided he should go to the hospital where a battery of tests were conducted and he was eventually give a full bill of health overall and released at 7:00 AM the next morning. It sounds like the problem mainly had to do with Calhoun being very dehydrated. This is not the first time he has missed a NCAA Tournament game in fact he has now missed three. While you would think that the head coach missing games would be a distraction to a team the last two times he has missed time Uconn has gone on to win the NCAA Tournament (1999, 2004) is this the year again? In his coaching career Calhoun has missed 21 total games, including time in January of 2008 with a combination of stress and exhaustion. He has also battled skin cancer and prostate cancer at different oints in his life.
