March Madness Bubble Watch - Michigan Back in Dance?

The Michigan Wolverines took care of business in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tournament with a 73-45 win over Iowa, which should come fairly close to sealing the Wolverines first trip to the Madness since 1998. Michigan likely had the resume to get in before the win with quality wins over Duke, UCLA, and Illinois but a loss to a lowly Iowa team would have put them on the edge of their seats during the selection show.

So if you are the right age you are still scratching your head trying to figure out how a school that produced the Fab 5 could join the likes of Northwestern, South Florida, Rutgers, and Oregon State as having the longest tournament droughts in the major conferences. Well there are two answers the scandal the Fab 5 brought to the school that eliminated their records, and Tom Izzo arriving at Michigan State. So the real question is what is different about this year, honestly I feel the ball has just bounced their way a couple more times this year. Michigan is still a mediocre team, as they have been in past years. In past years Michigan could have sneaked in with a break, this year they likely did.
