Syracuse - Uconn Go 6 OT

Syracuse and Uconn needed 6 OT periods in order to settle their Big East Tournament quarterfinal game. The game was the longest game in Big East history and second longest in NCAA history and finally ended with Syracuse winning 127 to 117. Clearly there is a reason for all that off-season conditioning, can you imagine 6 OT and this late in the year (or ever). Syracuse now will play seventh seeded West Virginia in the next round. West Virginia upset Pittsburgh earlier in the day 74-60. The longest game in NCAA history is the 1981 7 OT duel in which Cincinnati defeated Bradley 75-73.
