Tyler Hansbrough ACC All Time Scoring Leader | UNC Crushes Radford - South Region-Score,Recap

Tyler Hansbrough is the ACC all time leading scorer in ACC history in UNC's first round defeat of Radford 101 to 58 in their South Region matchup in the 2009 NCAA Tournament. Hansbrough said he heard the roar of the crowd when he hit the record hitting shot, however was very focused on getting back on defense in the big time rout of Radford. When it was all said and done Hansbrough scored 22 points, put had a poor shooting day going 5 for 16 from the field but 12 of 12 from the stripe. Guard Wayne Ellington took the most advantage of Radford's lack of defensive ability scoring 25 points on 11 of 16 shooting. Ed Davis also took advantage adding a career high 15.

Radford made the NCAA Tournament for the second time since 1998 by being the the Big South Conference champion. UNC point guard Ty Lawson didn't play in the game nursing his toe injury a trivial fact in this game, but his health is anything but moving forward. An interesting fact is that UNC is 26-1 in the NCAA tournament in their home state, how is that for home state advantage?

North Carolina will next play LSU in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
