March Madness 2010 Bracket:Top 25 Games Recap

  1. Number 1 ranked Kansas barely beat Colorado in OT 72-66 as Kansas was ice cold from the field and the foul line.
  2. Number 6 ranked West Virginia took apart number 21 Pitt 70-51 as they received a very balanced scoring effort.
  3. Number 8 Georgetown was upset at home by once Big East doormat the USF Bulls as South Florida got a huge 29 point effort from guard Dominique Jones.
  4. Number 17 Temple beat Duquesne 76-60 as they got a huge 39 point effort from their bench.
  5. Number 18 Ohio State had no problem at home against Penn State as they won 75-62 getting 27 from player of the year candidate Evan Turner. The Buckeyes are now 7-2 since the return of Turner from injury.
  6. Number 20 Vanderbilt held off Mississippi State at home 75-72. Mississippi State closed the game on a 15-2 run and had a shot to tie on the last trip down the court.
  7. Number 22 Northern Iowa had to hang on against Wichita State as they won 59-56 at home. If Wichita State didn't shoot 10 of 17 from the charity stripe this could have easily gone their way.
  8. Number 24 Baylor had no problem beating up on Iowa State 84-63. To beat Iowa State isn't the same as beating Texas in their last game but it is great to keep things rolling.
Outside the top 25 Illinois continues to stalk the Big Ten's best as they beat Iowa 57-49 in Iowa and are now in a second place tie with Ohio State and Wisconsin. We don't think Illinois is nearly as good as those teams or Purdue and the Spartans but they are hanging in their.
