March Madness 2010 Injury Update

Michigan State star junior guard Kalin Lucas had x-rays on his ankle and they came back negative, making his return day to day. Kalin got injured in Michigan State's loss to Wisconsin when he rolled his ankle after his foot got stepped on by Wisconsin's Keaton Nankivil during a rebound attempt. The play was completely unintentional and unavoidable by Nankivil an didn't draw a foul. It is a big sigh of relief for Michigan State as it looks like they won't be without last years Big Ten player of the year for long. Michigan State will need a healthy Kalin Lucas if they expect to stay in first place in the Big Ten as they got off to a good undefeated start at 9-0 but they were blown out by Wisconsin in Madison and Kalin's injury had little to do with the lopsided defeat. During their undefeated streak Michigan State's only win over a premier team was Wisconsin at home and frankly they don't look like a team that won't suffer some more losses even with Kalin as they have 2 more games against Purdue, 1 against Ohio State,1 more against a solid Illinois team, and a trap game against Indiana on the road. We see 3 more losses for this team as Ohio State,Indiana, and Purdue beat them.
