March Madness 2010 Bracket:Top 25 Tuesday Game Recap

  1. Number 1 Syracuse defeated St. Johns at home 85-66. The win was the first for Syracuse as a number 1 since 1990. Syracuse also got to hold the Big East Championship Trophy after the game as they have now won the title outright for only the second time, the other was the 1990-1991 season.

  3. Number 9 Villanova was able to get an important road win as they defeated Cincinnati 77-73. Villanova was up 16 points in the second half however let the lead dwindle to make it an interesting game. Scottie Reynolds scored all of his 17 points for the Wildcats in the second half. Villanova plays West Virginia at home next.
  4. Number 14 Gonzaga cruised by Cal State Bakersfield 78-59 at home. Gonzaga's starters didn't get as many minutes as normal in the final game of the WCC season, however the seniors went out in style with the conference title.
  5. Number 19 Vanderbilt beat Florida 64 - 60 on the road. Vanderbilt looks like a solid number 4 seed and possibly a number 3 in the March Madness 2010 bracket. Vanderbilt plays South Carolina next at home and is currently in second place in the SEC East.
  6.  Number 21 Utep beat Marshal 80-76 for their 13th straight win. The Miners have won an impressive 7 straight road games, could they be looking at as high of a seed as a 4 in the March Madness 2010 bracket?
