March Madness 2010:16 Lehigh - 1 Kansas Upset Avoided

March Madness 2010 Upset Avoided
16 Lehigh vs 1 Kansas
Midwest Regional
Final score Kansas 90 Lehigh 74
(latest game update at the bottom of article)
It has been a day of shockers and none are more shocking that Lehigh is down only one at 26 to 25 versus Kansas with 2 minutes to go in the half. Kansas just can't shake Lehigh, Lehigh even started 5 of 22 from the field and have played with Kansas the whole way. Lehigh is shooting only 33% from the field and 11% from three and are getting out rebounded  with the turnovers even and are still keeping it close.Kansas runs the game out a little to be up 35 to 29 at the half, they got a steal and a layup to close the half strong.
Midway through the second half Kansas was finally able to pull away from Lehigh finally like everyone in the nation expected. Marcus Morris led the way for Kansas with 26 points and 10 boards, Sherron Collins added 18 points and 6 assists. Lehigh is from the Patriot League and as you might remember it was Bucknell also of the Patriot League that 5 years ago shocked the nation by beating Kansas in the first round. Kansas has to face Northern Iowa next in the second round and that game isn't looking so easy with how solid and scrappy the Panthers looked in their first round win.
